The pop-up exhibition is about Gyllene Tider’s first year, with a connection to the upcoming movie Sommartider, which will premiere in Sweden’s cinemas on 17th July. It’s retro and it’s contemporary at the same time.

Music fans and pop culture enthusiasts have a unique opportunity in 2025: The Gyllene Tider Experience exhibition in Halmstad will now be open the entire year, offering an immersive journey into the legendary Swedish band’s history.

Since the band’s start, Gyllene Tider has meant a great deal to Halmstad. As Karolina Davidsson, CEO of Destination Halmstad, explains: “Last year’s exhibition was just a warm-up.
The Gyllene Tider Experience är mer än en utställning, det är en upplevelse. By continuing to use the central location, they’re strengthening the city center.”By extending The Gyllene Tider Experience, we contribute to city center development – we’re filling a space in Halmstad city with a living and unique experience.

Halmstad is and has always been the place in our hearts. Halmstad Tourist Center is in the same premises and there you can buy tickets to the exhibition. All five have opened their hearts and searched their stashes for memorabilia and gadgets that create a picture of Gyllene Tider’s dreams when they started their careers.
In one corner you will find the rehearsal room set up as it once looked, taken from the film Sommartider. The Gyllene Tider Experience will continue throughout 2026 due to massive public interest, keeping the story of one of Sweden’s most beloved bands alive in their hometown.
An Interactive Musical Journey
The interactive exhibition chronicles the band’s journey from their first notes in Halmstad to their successes in Sweden and worldwide.
In another part, you can sing along to Gyllene Tider’s songs. And that’s exactly how it is. The Gyllene Tider Experience is more than an exhibition. Make sure to enter the exhibition at least 60 minutes before closing time to get the best experience.
Children aged 0 - 14 enter for free but cannot pre-purchase their tickets.
