DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Roll top on the top, zipper on the bottom and a cinch cord divider inside allow you to use the main pack bag in any which way you please.

After all you don’t want your backpack to give up on you during a critical moment like when you’re trying to escape a swarm of angry bees. Think of it as your own personal gear Tetris, where you control the puzzle and stack the odds in your favor.

Durability and Comfort

Durability? Crafted from 500D Cordura® nylon, it’s built to repel anything Mother Nature throws your way.

When needed you can overpack it a lot. I have so far used it for 30 kms divided for 4 days and so far I have no bad thing to say about it. Built tough, they don’t just survive; they thrive under pressure.

User Experience

These packs earn trust with every mile. I couldn't trust it anymore and it didn't seem to fit me very well either.

Requirements

What I wanted from my new backpack was a large size, preferably something along the Berghaus size (about 100 liters), a lot of customization options and high quality.

The Savotta Jääkäri backs you up when it counts.

Customer Reviews and Feedback

You know the Savotta Jääkäri packs get rave reviews from outdoor warriors and weekend warriors alike.

It’s the kind of gear that’s not just handed down; it’s a legacy crafted for endurance.

Product Line

The Jääkäri product line offers an arsenal of backpacks designed for serious adventurers. With suitable pouches attached you could use this instead of, or in conjunction with, a small daypack.

CARRYING SYSTEM
An internal tubular aluminium frame keeps the pack from sagging and transfers the pack weight onto your hips even when loaded down with heavy and cumbersome cargo.

Both the shoulder harness and hip belt are generously padded with thermoformed closed cell foam padding.

With suitable pouches attached you could use this instead of, or in conjunction with, a small daypack.

MILITARY GRADE MATERIALS

The majority of materials we use for our commercial production are the same which we use in equipment for the Finnish Defence Forces and other defence and security clients. The hipbelt position can be adjusted a little with PALS, but I have not yet tried that.

Not only for pouches though, the PALS webbing can also be used to attach utility straps, shock cord, carabiners etc.

The hip belt attaches to the backpack via PALS webbing. I have just taken my camera from inside, so the top part looks a bit loose, but when packed normally it is tight.

Size

I was really worried about the size in paper, as it said 55 liters, overpacked 60 liters.

On the left hand side is my Savotta sleeping mat.
Internally there is sleeve that holds a 3 litre hydration pack. Happy trekking!

First hike with Savotta Jääkäri L

I recently bought a new backpack: Savotta Jääkäri L. I previously used a Berhgaus Vulcan backpack, that I had bought used a couple of years back.

In the above picture, I have the Jääkäri L backpack in use.
